The following idea is always super easy to achieve and promises fun DIY minutes. These unusual and 100% decorative flowers are perfect for beautifying any corner of the house that lacks color. Like any other children’s DIY project, it can be customized in many ways.
So, when it comes to the material to be prepared, you will need several sheets of crepe paper, multicolored plastic dough sticks, plastic straws, toothpicks, glue, a pair of scissors and chickpeas (rice, pebbles, etc.) to fill the cups.
First, we have to make multicolored petals for our decorative flowers. To do this, one can print matching patterns, and then cut out the petal shapes. To make things easier, take a piece of crepe paper and fold it over several times, as shown in the picture above. We vary the colors for each flower to vary the DIY creations.
Now you have to cut toothpicks in half. The crepe paper petals are wrapped around the top of each half. To fix everything, we use a little bit of glue.
Now we roll out the modeling clay to get several balls, big and small. The big balls will have to be flattened.
We put the small balls in the center of the flattened balls to form the noses of our DIY flowers. Then, using markers, children can draw eyes and mouths to give their little creatures an expressive look. Once this is done, all you have to do is plant the petals in the modeling clay, distributing the toothpicks all around the flattened balls. Encourage children to vary the shapes and colors of the petals to create colorful and unusual flowers.
Push a colored straw into the ball of modeling clay to form the stem of your flower. Put it in a cup (or a small vase) filled with chickpeas and you’re done!

Scissors are used to cut the cells of the cardboard egg box. It is necessary to cut the edges so as to give the petals more open air. When the paint is still wet, powder glitter on it. Finally, to complete the flowers can be added rhinestones or small pompoms assorted as stamens.
Now, the wooden sticks are painted in light green to mimic real stems. They are attached to the flowers with a little hot glue. Finally, all we have to do is fill the Mason jars with green shredded paper to mimic grass and put in a bouquet of three or five decorative flowers. Here !
