A Chinese project combining tradition and modernity – flat roof house and pavilion printed in 3D!
Today, we travel to China to discover a flat roof house whose interior is ultra cozy. This effect is successful thanks to solid wood furniture bringing unparalleled warmth to the space. But before entering, two other impressive details draw our attention. The LEI house has a breathtaking natural stone facade. There is also a kitchen garden on the roof that gives a boost to the whole. Moreover, this traditional architecture is energized by a super modern detail that seems unreal. We are talking about this flag printed in 3D that you could see in the example above. The minimalist patio below is also something not to be missed. However, the flat roof house fits perfectly into the landscape. Let us inspire you!
The flat roof house and its natural stone facade: a project that stands out!
Completed in 2018 and signed AZL Architects, this flat roof house has it all! Whether the facade, the traditional architecture with modern touches or the roof garden , the residence LEI is welcoming and very nice and occupies a surface of 296 m². It is located in Tonglu province, only a few kilometers from the big city. The homeowner wanted a multifunctional interior where she wanted a private apartment on the third floor. The two lower floors were intended for tourists.
Let’s continue with the lovely outdoor decor! At the beginning of our article, we mentioned the living room below which benefits from a classic look. Nothing like the timeless combination of black and white adding a classic touch to any space. Located on a lower level, the patio glorifies the minimalist style. And here is the first opposition tradition / modernism! Being a contemporary trend, the minimalist style is at odds with traditional architecture making the flat roof house a true masterpiece.
Besides, there is an element of outdoor space that can not go unnoticed at all and you might notice it in the example above. So, it’s a pavilion with a modern design and printed in 3D. The technique of 3D printing continues to gain popularity and has recently been used for the manufacture of street furniture from recycled plastic waste. Awesome, is not it?
Let’s take a closer look at the futuristic 3D Pavilion, which is the absolute highlight of the flat roof house! Indeed, it is built from prefabricated blocks assembled on site. You can convince yourself by consulting the pictures in the gallery illustrating the editing process.
The flat roof house enjoys a vegetable garden!
For information, the flat-roofed house is becoming more and more popular and does not stop seducing us! The truth is that its refined design brings renewal to the construction. So, if you’re thinking of building the house of your dreams, we encourage you to bet on the flat roof to design an out-of-the-ordinary home.
The advantages of a flat roof are numerous and we will examine some of them. As a bonus, this type of roof could represent an extra floor. This gives the opportunity to transform this space into a vegetable garden, like the “LEI House”, or into a terrace furnished in a contemporary and cozy way. In addition, if you prefer eco-friendly constructions, it is also possible to install solar panels on the roof.
After reviewing the exterior design, it’s time to pay attention to the interior design. On the example above, we can notice the well-equipped wooden kitchen. As shown, the architects have relied on the generous use of wood whose ability to warm space is out of the ordinary. Rustic style pendant lights and built-in lights illuminate the living space in a modern way.
The bedrooms enjoy a super warm decor characterized by neutral colors. Consider the example above: a living room with cozy sofas and equipped with wooden furniture gives access to the room which benefits from a suspension design and touches of greenery.
The dining room is quite spacious and glorifies the solid wood furniture. There are touches of greenery and three trendy suspensions that overlook the dining table with matching chairs. And now, browse our gallery to admire the fascinating flat roof house!
